* Ισχυρά κέρδη σημείωσε το αργό στις συναλλαγές της Δευτέρας ανακτώντας μέρος των απωλειών που κατέγραψε την προηγουμένη εβδομάδα και ξεπερνώντας και πάλι το ψυχολογικό επίπεδο των 100 δολ. το βαρέλι.
* Το συμβόλαιο του αργού παραδόσεως Ιουνίου κέρδισε 5,37 δολ. ή 5,5% για να ολοκληρώσει τις συναλλαγές στα 102,55 δολ. το βαρέλι στο χρηματιστήριο Εμπορευμάτων της Νέας Υόρκης. Πρόκειται για το πρώτο κλείσιμο του αργού πάνω από τα 100 δολ. το βαρέλι από την περασμένη Τετάρτη.
* Το αργό έκλεισε την προηγουμένη εβδομάδα με σωρευτικές απώλειες σχεδόν 14,7% στο Nymex γνωρίζοντας τη χειρότερη εβδομάδα από τα τέλη του 2008.
* Το άλμα του αργού οδήγησε σε ισχυρά κέρδη και τα υπόλοιπα προϊόντα με το συμβόλαιο της βενζίνης παραδόσεως Ιουνίου να κερδίζει 19 cents ή 6,1% στα 3,28 δολ. το γαλόνι. -
** Ιαπωνία: Εντόπισαν υψηλά επίπεδα ραδιενέργειας
* Η Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPCO), που είναι υπεύθυνη για τη μονάδα Φουκουσίμα Νταϊίτσι, δήλωσε ότι τα επίπεδα ακτινοβολίας ανήλθαν στα 600-700 μιλισίβερτ στον πρώτο όροφο του κτιρίου του αντιδραστήρα 1.-

* Συνεχίζονται τα επεισόδια στην πόλη Μπανιάς στο βορειοδυτικό τμήμα της Συρίας, όπου επενέβη ο στρατός το Σάββατο.
** Συνελήφθη ο εγκέφαλος των επεισοδίων στο Κάιρο
* Οι αιγυπτιακές αρχές συνέλαβαν τον εγκέφαλο των επεισοδίων του Σαββάτου, στη λαϊκή συνοικία της Ιμπάμπα, στο Κάιρο, που είχαν ως αποτέλεσμα την πιο αιματηρή σύγκρουση μεταξύ χριστιανών και μουσουλμάνων.-
** Νάπολη: Στους δρόμους ο στρατός για τα σκουπίδια

* Κάθετα αντίθετος με τη μέθοδο της καύσης των απορριμμάτων είναι ο συμπατριώτης μας καθηγητής του Πολυτεχνείου Κρήτης Αλέξανδρος Οικονομόπουλος, ξεκαθαρίζοντας ότι μια τέτοια επιλογή σημαίνει τεράστια περιβαλλοντικά προβλήματα και απώλεια πολλών εκατομμυρίων ευρώ για τον τόπο μας, κάτι που θα επιφέρει και αύξηση των δημοτικών τελών. Για τον κ. Οικονομόπουλο, η απάντηση στο πρόβλημα της διαχείρισης των απορριμμάτων ακούει στο όνομα: κομποστοποίηση! Την ώρα που σε ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο το 18% των οικιακών απορριμμάτων κομποστοποιείται, στην Ελλάδα μόλις το 2% των σκουπιδιών των νοικοκυριών μας γίνεται κομπόστ. Αποτέλεσμα; Ξεχειλίζουν ΧΥΤΑ και χωματερές με όγκους οργανικών απορριμμάτων.

* Για καρκίνο μαστού και άλλες παθήσεις
* Με μια ενδιαφέρουσα ιατρική εκδήλωση ανοιχτή στο κοινό ολοκληρώνεται σήμερα στην Καλαμάτα το 12ο Πανελλήνιο Συνέδριο Μαστολογίας με θέμα τις παθήσεις του μαστού και, κυρίως, τον καρκίνο. Στις 10.30 το πρωί στο συνεδριακό κέντρο του ξενοδοχείου «Elite», θα ξεκινήσει η συνεδρίαση την οποία μπορεί να παρακολουθήσει κάθε ενδιαφερόμενος. Στο συντονισμό της θα συμμετέχουν οι δημοσιογράφοι Σεραφείμ Φυντανίδης και Εύα Ντελιδάκη. Οι εργασίες του συνεδρίου ξεκίνησαν την Παρασκευή, με τη συμμετοχή διακεκριμένων επιστημόνων, ενώ η επίσημη έναρξη κηρύχθηκε το απόγευμα της ίδιας μέρας από την υφυπουργό Παιδείας Εύη Χριστοφιλοπούλου.

* Η εμπειρία του να είσαι μητέρα
** Για τη σημερινή Γιορτή της Μητέρας μιλήσαμε με πολλές γυναίκες. Κάθε μία είχε να μοιραστεί μαζί μας μια ξεχωριστή ιστορία μητρότητας. Από τις πέντε μαμάδες που φιλοξενούμε στο δισέλιδο, η Βάσω Δαφνά είναι σίγουρα μια ιδιάζουσα περίπτωση. Απέκτησε την πρώτη της κόρη σε ηλικία 14 ετών. Η γλυκύτητα και συνειδητότητα με την οποία περιγράφει τη μέχρι τώρα πορεία της ως μητέρα, είναι μάθημα ζωής. Η ιατρός Βασιλική Παπανικολάου μάς μιλά, μεταξύ άλλων, για το ρόλο του πατέρα στη σύγχρονη οικογένεια. Η εκπαιδευτικός Άννα Ταταρούνη εστιάζει στους πολλαπλούς ρόλους της γυναίκας σήμερα και την πίεση που δέχεται από το περιβάλλον της. Η μητέρα τριών παιδιών Ελένη Πασχαλίδου ζητά από την ελληνική Πολιτεία να στηρίξει την οικογένεια. Η Λίτσα Κομπότη, τέλος, με παιδιά, εγγόνια και δισέγγονα, συγκρίνει το τότε με το τώρα και αποφαίνεται: Σήμερα είναι πιο δύσκολα!
** Φραπές
* Η ελληνική επινόηση πνέει τα λοίσθια
* Κλασικός Έλληνας = τάβλι, εφημερίδα, τσιγάρα, κινητό και φραπεδούμπα. Όπα, όπα, το τελευταίο ας το σβήσουμε ή ας το αντικαταστήσουμε με έναν άλλον, κυρίως, ιταλικό καφέ. Φαίνεται, λοιπόν, ότι ο φραπές δεν είναι πλέον αγαπημένος καφές. Αν καθίσεις σε μια καφετέρια και κοιτάξεις γύρω σου, δύσκολα θα δεις φραπέ πάνω στα τραπέζια και, φυσικά, αν αυτός είναι μπροστά σου, μάλλον είσαι «σαν τη μύγα μες στο γάλα», σαν έναν άνθρωπο που έχει έρθει από άλλη εποχή!
* Πώς προέκυψε, όμως, ο φραπές, και γιατί αποτελεί ελληνική επινόηση;
* Ας πάρουμε τα πράγματα από την αρχή. Ο φραπές είναι μια παράλλαξη του νες καφέ, που αποτελούσε προϊόν της γνωστής εταιρείας Nestle. Για την ιστορία, το 1930 η κυβέρνηση της Βραζιλίας ζήτησε από τη Nestle να δημιουργήσει ένα στιγμιαίο καφέ, κάτι που κατάφερε το 1938, παρουσιάζοντάς τον στην Ελβετία. Από εκεί και πέρα, ξεκινά η επανάσταση στο στιγμιαίο καφέ.
* Τα χρόνια πέρασαν, μέχρι που φτάνουμε στο 1957 και στη Διεθνή Έκθεση Θεσσαλονίκης. Εκεί, υπήρξε ένας πωλητής της Nestle, ονόματι Δημήτριος Βακόνδιος, ο οποίος προωθούσε το σοκολατούχο παιδικό γάλα της εταιρείας. Αγαπημένος του καφές, ο στιγμιαίος της Nestle. Σε ένα διάλειμμα, όμως, δεν κατάφερε να βρει ζεστό νερό και αναγκάστηκε να βάλει σε ένα σέικερ κρύο, μαζί με ζάχαρη και το μέχρι τότε στιγμιαίο καφέ (που προοριζόταν μόνο για ζεστό νερό). Έτσι ξεκινά η ιστορία του αγαπημένου και διάσημου φραπέ, αφού αντιλήφθηκε ότι αυτό που δημιούργησε ήταν πολύ γευστικό και τον εντυπωσίασε.
* Η εν λόγω ανακάλυψη αποτέλεσε το must της ελληνικής και όχι μόνο νεολαίας, ενώ σιγά σιγά επεκτάθηκε και εκτός ελληνικών συνόρων. Για παράδειγμα, από τη δεκαετία του ’90 και μετά αποτέλεσε τη νούμερο ένα επιλογή καφέ και στην Κύπρο, ενώ έκανε την εμφάνισή του και σε χώρες όπως η Γερμανία, η Ισπανία, η Νορβηγία και, φυσικά, όπου υπάρχει ελληνικό στοιχείο, όπως στην Κωνσταντινούπολη. Μάλιστα, έχει παρατηρηθεί μετανάστες να επιστρέφουν στη χώρα διαμονής παίρνοντας μαζί τους από Ελλάδα τον αγαπημένο τους καφέ.
* Εντούτοις, όπως γράψαμε και στην αρχή, η εποχή του φραπέ ολοένα και φθίνει. Κατάλληλοι για να μας μιλήσουν γι’ αυτό, όμως, δεν είναι άλλοι από αυτούς που φτιάχνουν κάθε μέρα εκατοντάδες καφέδες, οι γνωστοί ως μπουφετζήδες των καφετεριών.
* Τι καφέ πίνει, λοιπόν, ο κόσμος σήμερα;
** Φοινικούντα
* «Στα όπλα» και πάλι για την καλλιέργεια τόνου
* Τα «όπλα» ξαναπαίρνουν μετά από λίγο καιρό κάτοικοι και επαγγελματίες της Φοινικούντας και, κατά συνέπεια, της ευρύτερης περιοχής του Δήμου Πύλου – Νέστορος. Η τελευταία τους διαμαρτυρία ήταν το καλοκαίρι για το πεδίο βολής της 120 ΠΕΑ στη Σχίζα. Κι ενώ όλα έδειχναν ότι ο τόπος θα ηρεμήσει, ήρθε το κείμενο της δημόσιας διαβούλευσης για το ειδικό πλαίσιο χωροταξικού σχεδιασμού και αειφόρου ανάπτυξης για τις υδατοκαλλιέργειες και τη στρατηγική διερεύνηση περιβαλλοντικών επιπτώσεων αυτού, του υπουργείου Περιβάλλοντος, Ενέργειας και Κλιματολογικής Αλλαγής, που προβλέπει τη δημιουργία δύο μονάδων τόνου στην Περιοχή Ολοκληρωμένης Ανάπτυξης Υδατοκαλλιεργειών Μεσσηνίας, ανατολικά της Σαπιέντζας, δυναμικότητας 780 τόνων τη χρονιά και βόρεια της Σχίζας, δυναμικότηταw 720 τόνων τη χρονιά.
**Αγροτικός Φιλιατρών
* Έντονη αντίδραση για την εισφορά του πρώιμου καρπουζιού
* Στο τεράστιο πρόβλημα με το «εξωφρενικό» και δυσβάστακτο, για τους περισσότερους, κόστος της ασφαλιστικής εισφοράς των αγροτών – καλλιεργητών πρώιμου καρπουζιού αναφέρεται σε επιστολή προς το υπουργείο Αγροτικής Ανάπτυξης και Τροφίμων και τον ΕΛΓΑ ο Αγροτικός Σύλλογος Φιλιατρών. Στην επιστολή, που υπογράφουν ο πρόεδρος και ο γραμματέας του Α.Σ. Φιλιατρών, Γιώργος Αλεξανδρόπουλος και Γιάννης Γριβοκωστόπουλος αντίστοιχα, σημειώνεται πως η ασφαλιστική εισφορά για την καλλιέργεια πρώιμου καρπουζιού στην Τριφυλία απέχει πολύ από τις πραγματικές τιμές που πουλάνε, τουλάχιστον, την τελευταία πενταετία.
**Ιστορική έρευνα
* Ο Μεθωναίος δημοσιογράφος Γεώργιος Ν. Οικονομόπουλος
* Ήκουσα δια πρώτην φοράν περί αυτού περί τα μέσα της δεκαετίας 1970 – 1980 εις μίαν συζήτησιν του πατρός μου, γεννηθέντος το 1896 και της διδασκαλίσσης μου Ισμήνης Αποστολοπούλου – Μπουγά, γεννηθείσης το 1904, καταγομένης εκ Φιλιατρών, διορισθείσης εις την Μεθώνην τον Δεκέμβριον του 1923 και υπανδρευθείσης τον Μεθωναίον συνταγματάρχην Διογένην Αποστολόπουλον. Εκ της συζητήσεως αυτής μετά παρέλευσιν τόσων ετών ενθυμούμαι ότι, όταν ήτο μαθητής του Γυμνασίου Καλαμάτας ο Γεώργιος Οικονομόπουλος, εξέδωσεν χειρόγραφον εφημερίδα, εις την οποίαν εσατίριζε τον Διοικητήν της Χωροφυλακής Μεσσηνίας.
*Αμέσως συνελήφθη υπό των οργάνων της τάξεως και δια των φίλων του ενημέρωσε τον Βλάσσην Γαβριηλίδην, εκδότην της «Ακροπόλεως», ο οποίος εμεσολάβησε και απεφυλακίσθη.
* Ο Γεώργιος Νικ. Οικονομόπουλος είναι δισέγγονος του Μεθωναίου ιερέως Θεοδώρου Κανελλοπούλου, ο οποίος εφονεύθη ηρωικώς μαχόμενος τον Απρίλιον του 1825 εις την Σφακτηρίαν κατά την απόβασιν εκεί των δυνάμεων του Ιμβραήμ. Ο υιός του ιερέως Γεώργιος, επειδή ο πατήρ του έφερε το οφφίκιον του Οικονόμου, μετέβαλε το επώνυμόν του εις Οικονομόπουλος. Απέκτησε τρία τέκνα τον Νικόλαον, τον Διονύσιον και την Ελένην, η οποία υπανδρεύθη τον Μεθωναίον έμπορον Θεοφάνη Καλλιγάν. Ο Νικόλαος απέκτησε 2 τέκνα, τον Γεώργιον και την Αικατερίνην, μετέπειτα σύζυγον Νικολάου Πατρίκη, η οποία απηνθρακώθη τον Δεκέμβριον του 1973. Ο Διονύσιος απέκτησε 3 τέκνα, τον Θεόδωρον, τηλεγραφητήν Μεθώνης (1923 – 1946) και Πύλου (1946 – 1965), τον Γεώργιον, αγρονόμον εις την Μεθώνην και την Μαγδαληνήν, η οποία υπανδρεύθη εις την Καλαμάταν τον ιατρόν Αλέξανδρον Ρούτσην.
* Ο Γεώργιος Νικ. Οικονομόπουλος εγεννήθη περί το 1886. Τούτο συμπεραίνεται εκ της φοιτήσεώς του εις την Α΄ τάξιν του Ελληνικού Σχολείου Μεθώνης. Σχολικόν έτος 1897 – 1898. Οικονομόπουλος Νικ. Γεώργιος, ετών 11. Ελληνικά 6, Μαθηματικά 5, Θρησκευτικά 7, Ιστορία 8, Γεωγραφία 7, Φυσική 6. 6 12/28 προήχθη. Επειδή δεν ελειτούργει Β΄ και Γ΄ τάξις εις το Ελληνικόν Σχολείον Μεθώνης, συμπεραίνω ότι εφοίτησεν εις το Ελληνικόν Σχολείον Πύλου, του οποίου όμως δεν σώζονται τα βιβλία (γενικός έλεγχος, μαθητολόγιον). Το 1901 στέλλει ανταποκρίσεις εκ Μεθώνης εις το ΘΑΡΡΟΣ της Καλαμάτας δια διάφορα θέματα. Θεωρώ βέβαιον ότι ο υπό το ψευδώνυμον Γεώργιος Διωγμένος ανταποκριτής εκ Μεθώνης είναι ο Γεώργιος Νικ. Οικονομόπουλος, 15 τότε ετών, όπως ολίγα έτη βραδύτερον, το 1909, ο μαθητής της Γ΄ τάξεως του Ελληνικού Σχολείου Μεθώνης, Γεώργιος Νικ. Τσώνης, έστελνεν ανταποκρίσεις εις την εφημερίδα των Αθηνών «ΣΚΡΙΠ». Κατά το σχολικόν έτος 1905 – 1906 εφοίτησεν εις το Γυμνάσιον Καλαμάτας. Γενικός έλεγχος. Τάξις Α΄ Τμήμα Α΄ Αρ. Μαθητολογίου 316. Οικονομόπουλος Γεώργιος Νικολάου, πατρίς Μεθώνη, ετών 19, επάγγελμα γονέως: κτηματικός. Άνευ βαθμολογίας. Δεν ανενέωσεν εγγραφήν. Η σύλληψίς του υπό της Χωροφυλακής φαίνεται ότι δεν του επέτρεψε την συνέχισιν της φοιτήσεώς του. Εις την Καλαμάταν όμως εξέδιδεν, ως θα ιδώμεν κατωτέρω και άλλην εφημερίδα, τον «Θρίαμβον».
* Πότε εγκατεστάθη εις Αθήνας δεν είναι απολύτως βέβαιον. Από διηγήσεις του πατρός μου ενθυμούμαι ότι μετά την περιπέτειάν του με την Χωροφυλακήν ο Γαβριηλίδης τον εκάλεσε και τον διώρισε εις την «Ακρόπολιν». Τούτο επιβεβαιούται και από το κατωτέρω δημοσίευμα του «ΘΑΡΡΟΥΣ» της 22ας-3-1927: «… Ένας άνθρωπος που εξεπετάχθη από τους ρόλους το χαρτί της “Ακροπόλεως”, όπου εκοιμάτο, όταν ήταν παιδί και έγινε δημοσιογράφος. Δημοσιογράφος αυτοδίδακτος…». Εις το «ΘΑΡΡΟΣ» της 27-1-1923 ανευρίσκομεν μίαν πληροφορίαν περί αυτού: «ΠΑΝΕΛΛΗΝΙΟΝ ΓΡΑΦΕΙΟΝ ΠΛΗΡΟΦΟΡΙΩΝ. ΚΕΡΑΜΕΙΚΟΥ 109. Ο γνωστότατος εν Αθήναις δημοσιογράφος κ. Γεώργιος Ν. Οικονομόπουλος ίδρυσε το “Πανελλήνιον Γραφείον Πληροφοριών”, το οποίον ενισχυθέν δια καταλλήλου προσωπικού αναλαμβάνει την διεκπεραίωσιν πάσης υποθέσεως». Ενυμφεύθη και απέκτησε 2 θυγατέρες, τις οποίες όταν απέθανε (1927), άφησε εις μικράν ηλικίαν. Ήτο μέλος της Ενώσεως Συντακτών Ημερησίων Εφημερίδων Αθηνών και κατά μίαν πληροφορίαν προφορικώς δοθείσαν εις εμέ προ 20ετίας περίπου, υπό του υιού της αδελφής του Διονυσίου Πατρίκη, διετέλεσε και Γραμματεύς αυτής. Το τελευταίον χρονικόν διάστημα προ του θανάτου του διετέλεσε Διευθυντής της Εφημερίδος «Εσπερινή».
* Ο Γεώργιος Οικονομόπουλος απέθανε τον Μάρτιον του 1927. Εις το «ΘΑΡΡΟΣ» της 13-3-1937 αναφέρει ότι κατήγετο εκ Καλαμών. Ήτο όμως Μεθωναίος: «ΑΠΕΒΙΩΣΕΝ ο Γεώργιος Οικονομόπουλος. Αθήναι. Απεβίωσεν ο εκ Καλαμών παλαιός δημοσιογράφος Γεώργιος Οικονομόπουλος, όστις διηύθυνεν επ’ αρκετόν εσχάτως χρόνον την απογευματινήν εφημερίδα “Εσπερινή”. Η κηδεία του εγένετο δαπάναις της “Ενώσεως Συντακτών” Αθηνών. Νεκρολογία του περιέχουσα περιγραφήν του χαρακτήρος του εδημοσιεύθη εις το “ΘΑΡΡΟΣ” της 22ας-3-1927: «ΠΡΟΣΩΠΑ ΚΑΙ ΠΡΑΓΜΑΤΑ. ΕΝΑΣ ΚΑΛΑΜΑΤΙΑΝΟΣ ΔΗΜΟΣΙΟΓΡΑΦΟΣ. Απέθανε και εκηδεύθη εις τας Αθήνας ο άλλοτε εκδίδων ενταύθα τον “Θρίαμβον”, ο Γεώργιος Οικονομόπουλος, ο γνωστός με το όνομα που του είχε δώσει ο μακαρίτης Βλάσσης Γαβριηλίδης, αυτό το δαιμόνιον της ελληνικής δημοσιογραφίας, με το όνομα του “Γάτου”.
* Αλλά τι τέλος πάντων ήτο ο Γεώργιος Οικονομόπουλος; Ίσως καίτοι έζησεν εδώ να μην τον γνωρίζουν οι περισσότεροι συμπολίται. Ήτο ένας αληθινός μαχητής της ζωής, ένας άνθρωπος που εξεπετάχθη από τους ρόλους το χαρτί της “Ακροπόλεως”, όπου εκοιμάτο, όταν ήτο παιδί και έγινε δημοσιογράφος. Δημοσιογράφος αυτοδίδακτος. Δημοσιογράφος όμως. Δεν είχεν ούτε εξαιρετικήν μόρφωσιν ούτε εξαιρετικό μυαλό. Είχεν όμως καρδιά και προ παντός ειλικρίνεια. Δεν ήτο Φαρισαίος. Ό,τι έκανε, το εφώναζε από τα κεραμίδια. Δι’ αυτό και κανείς δεν μπορούσε να του καταλογίση τίποτε. Ήτο ο αγαπητός των συναδέλφων του. Ο αγαπητός “Γάτος”. Έμεινε πάντοτε άκακο παιδί.
* Επέρασε τρία χρόνια δημοσιογραφική ζωής και κατόρθωσε με αυτό το επάγγελμα να ζήση και να αναθρέψη τα “γατόπουλά” του, τα παιδιά του, δια τα οποία ήτο ιδεώδης πατέρας. Τρυφερός γάτος. Δεν είχεν αξιώσεις από την ζωή. Του αρκούσε ότι ζούσε αυτός και η οικογένειά του. Ο φθόνος γι’ αυτόν ήτο άγνωστος. Ανεγνώριζεν όλους τους ικανωτέρους του, έστω και αν αυτός ήτο αρχαιότερος δημοσιογράφος απ’ αυτούς. Τους συνεβουλεύετο δε και παρόντων άλλων ταπεινά.
* Τον θυμάμαι εδώ και λίγους μήνες ως διευθυντήν της “Εσπερινής”. Ο “Γάτος” έγινε διευθυντής αλλά δεν το επήρε επάνω του. Έμεινεν ο καλός “Γάτος”. Έμεινεν ευχαριστημένος. “Τώρα, μου έλεγε, τα γατόπουλα μου περνούν καλά, αδελφέ. Έρχεσαι να σου κάμω το τραπέζι; Μη φοβάσαι ότι θα με ζημιώσης”.
* Έμεινεν ο ίδιος. Ο απροσποίητος άνθρωπος. Η καλή καρδιά. Το παιδί που δεν μπορούσε κανείς του καταλογίση τίποτε. Ο δημοσιογράφος, ο οποίος καίτοι δεν είχε φόντα, εδιαβάζετο όμως εις την Αθήνα. Είχεν έναν κύκλο δικού του αναγνωστικού κοινού. Εδιαβάζετο από τον Λαόν.
* Αυτός είναι ο “Γάτος” ο συμπολίτης μας, ο οποίος άφησε τα “γατόπουλά” του ορφανά, ίσως και χωρίς πεντάρα. Ένας από τους καλούς τύπους, οι οποίοι είναι τόσον σπάνιοι εις την ζωήν, εις την οποίαν βασιλεύει το ψέμμα και η επιτήδευσις. Δεν ήτο άνθρωπος πόζας. Ούτε Φαρισαίος. Ήτο απροσποίητος. Αληθινός. Χωρίς ψιμμύθια. Δι’ αυτόν τον λόγον και εστάθη τριάντα χρόνια εις την δημοσιογραφίαν, εις ένα επάγγελμα που χρειάζεται εξαιρετικά φόντα και εξαιρετικά νεύρα. Εις το οποίον εισέρχονται πολλοί και ελάχιστοι παραμένουν. ΑΜΑΤΕΡ».
* Η οικογένεια Οικονομοπούλου δεν υπάρχει σήμερον εις την Μεθώνην. Ελάχιστοι ηλικιωμένοι φέρουν εις την μνήμην των το παρωνύμιον του Γεωργίου Νικ. Οικονομόπουλου και μόνον 2 εγγόνια της αδελφής του Αικατερίνης γνωρίζουν περί αυτού, παλαιότερον δε είχον και κοινωνικές επαφές. Τα κείμενά του όμως εις το «ΘΑΡΡΟΣ» του 1901 υπό το ψευδώνυμον Γεώργιος Διωγμένος έμειναν, δια να λάβωμεν μίαν εικόνα της παιδικής δημοσιογραφικής του πέννας, όπως και το κείμενον της 22ας-3-1927 εις την ιδίαν εφημερίδα, δια να λάβωμεν μίαν εικόνα της προσωπικότητός του.

~** SEEKING AN END TO THE EUROPEAN PROJECT
* Michel Barnier points out that only a few days ago, in Finland, and a few months ago, in France, over 30% of those countries' citizens cast their votes for antifourthreich movements which are seeking to retreat behind their national borders. In other words, they are seeking to bring an end to the European project. And in addition to those voters, many others harbour doubts and worries, or are angry. On top of that, many young people are just indifferent.
* Fourthreichian monetary unification is the Trojan horse for overall harmonization of economic rules, policies, and laws in Fourth Reich(EU). Any eurozone problem is interpreted as a consequence of the lack of harmonization and leads to another wave of a creeping harmonization. Following every crisis meeting with Napoleon Sarko, Chancellor Merkel always declares that coordinating tax policies and labor laws is not just about currency issues but also about political cooperation, which has to be deepened. In other words, more enslavement to Brussels, transforming the confederation to a federation!
Barnier notes that in the early 1900s, Jack London and many other adventurers such as Arthur Conan Doyle and Paul Valery were expressing concern about the shrinking nature of the planet and their nostalgia for the world of mysterious shores which Alexander von Humbolt had explored and where one could still find the unlikely homelands of impossible populations. They felt that the increasing speed of life and transport, as well as colonial conquests, meant the infinite diversity of the world was threatened, even doomed to be overwhelmed by European civilisation alone!
One century on, everything has sped up even further: the media is everywhere, the Internet provides instant results. Trade, financial flows and immigration move faster than ever before… Technological progress is relentlessly speeding up time and shrinking space. The world is changing more quickly. It is changing more brutally. Our human societies are growing in complexity while, at the same time, they are more global, more unequal, as well as richer and more self-absorbed, while also more open to trade.
Barnier muses the Eurocentric world of the early 20th century has given way to a multipolar world, with inter-dependent players and a centre of gravity which is shifting eastwards. China is the world's second largest economy after the United States. It is the world's fastest-growing major economy, with average growth rates of 10% for the past 30 years. Many commentators claim that the private sector dominates the Chinese economy. Unfortunately, the private sector hardly dominates the Chinese economy. If anything does, it's the state again. Derek Scissors points out there have been important changes in the state sector. It has shrunk and operates very differently than it did just 15 years ago. During the 1990s, state assets were sold off, sometimes replaced by genuinely private firms.
Scissors notes privatization met serious political opposition. In response, during the 2000s, state-owned enterprises (SOEs) were instead converted into shareholding entities, many of which sold stock in Shanghai, Hong Kong or elsewhere. These shareholding firms took on some characteristics of true commercial businesses.
Those seeing a dominant private sector often mix up such shareholding firms with private firms. Neither specifying shareholders nor selling stock necessarily alters the fact of state control. The large majority of firms listed on domestic stock markets are state-owned.
Competition means the long-standing economic supremacy of the West is at risk and is forcing Europe to rethink its model of growth. Technological progress has multiplied the impact of the human population on its environment and threatens to exhaust our resources and areas of unspoiled nature. The South is seeing a population explosion, while the West is entering a demographic winter. In sum, what is actually at stake for Europeans is their ability to remould their model of civilisation and carry it forward into the future.

* Everyone is freaking out about Comet Elenin, but no one has much real information. Astronomer David Morrison points out Elenin is a small, long-period comet that takes about 10,000 years to complete one orbit around the Sun. Russian amateur astronomer Leonid Elenin discovered it with a robotic telescope in New Mexico on December 10, 2010. http://venitism.blogspot.com/
* Astronomers have not measured its size because it is only a few kilometers across, and its solid nucleus is shrouded by the surrounding gas. The mass is too small to cause any change in the orbits of other objects, and so its mass is unlikely ever to be measured. However, we do not need to know either the size or the mass of a comet to calculate its orbit.
* Morrison notes that it is precisely because Elenin is small and distant that journalists, and the public, have not shown much interest. Although there are still some uncertainties in its orbit, Elenin's perihelion (when it will be closest to the Sun) is in early September 2011 at a distance from the Sun of forty to forty-five million miles. It will be closest to Earth on about October 16, 2011, at a distance of about twenty-one million miles, which is nearly a hundred times farther than the distance between the Earth and the Moon. It will probably be visible using binoculars during October.
* Unfortunately, there is a rapidly growing list of conspiracy theory blogs making wild claims that Elenin will hit the Earth, disturb our orbit, cause changes to the tides, or interact with our magnetic field. Such claims are pure fiction. One of the worst examples is a video posted on March 1, 2011, claiming that the magnetic field of the comet would cause a large shift in the rotation axis of the Earth and produce mega-earthquakes on March 15, 2011. In reality, comets don't have magnetic fields, and magnetic fields can't change the rotation axis or cause earthquakes no matter how large they are. Unfortunately, the comet hysteria has grown since the tragic March 10 earthquake in Japan, which many pseudoscientific blogs blame on this comet.
* Morrison asserts there is no connection between Comet Elenin and the March 10 earthquake. Scientific explanations depend on cause and effect. This comet can have no gravitational or electromagnetic effect on Earth. It is only a billionth of the mass of the Earth, and comets don't have magnetic fields. Also remember that there was no large change (greater than 10 degrees was predicted) in the rotation axis of Earth, so there was no pole shift to trigger any earthquake. Equally important, earthquakes are not caused by external forces—not by gravity, electromagnetism, or pole shifts.
* Earthquakes are a product of the active geology associated with plate tectonics. The Japan earthquake was ordinary (although exceptionally large) and occurred on one of the most active subduction fault systems in the world. This is the same fault system that killed even more people in the great Yokohama quake and fire in 1923. * Lennon uttered those fateful words at the height of Beatlemania. The British Invasion happened to also coincide with the decline of Christianity, especially in England, and especially amongst the younger generations. The mass hysteria of Beatlemania was analogous to religious ecstasy. Many fans truly saw the Beatles as musical messiahs. John, Paul, George, and Ringo reported that fans would bring sick people to their concerts, in the belief that the band had a divine healing presence.
Spirituality is the search for God, an ultimate reality, a transcendent dimension of the world, an inner path enabling a person to discover the essence of his being, or the deepest values and meanings by which people live. Spirituality is often experienced as a source of inspiration or orientation in life. It encompasses belief in immaterial realities or experiences of the immanent or transcendent nature of the world. Spirituality is more personalized, less structured, more open to new ideas, and more pluralistic than religion.
Spirituality is not related to religion. Many people define themselves as spiritual but not religious. Spirituals believe in the existence of many different spiritual paths, emphasizing the importance of finding one's own individual path to spirituality. Most people identify themselves as spiritual but not religious. Religion is a type of formal external collective search organized by churches, whereas spirituality is defined as an internal individual search.
God is a vision of the highest values of truth, justice, love, and goodness toward which we strive. In this sense, God is a standard against which to measure ourselves and our achievements. God reminds us of the relativity and limitations of our own ideas. God serves as a corrective to our biases and a basis for critical reflection. By bringing together our highest ideals in a single symbol, God provides a focus for personal devotion or communal worship.
We experience God as love, light, power, and wisdom. The God we pray to is both transcendent and immanent, a part of us but also greater than us. Sometimes we experience God as a light that comes to us in the darkness. This light emanates intense love and compassion and leaves us feeling joyous and connected to all of creation. Other times, we simply hear God's guidance as thoughts. It seems similar to a nudge or sometimes a whisper. This guidance usually comes suddenly and clearly, and it can arrive while we are deep in prayer or simply going about our business of the day.
Let's face it, we are all victims of Abrahamic religions! Historians have proven that Abraham never existed! Nevertheless, the religulous tenets of the three Abrahamic religions, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, are dangerous fairy tales and myths that have incited barbarous purges and holy wars that are still being fought. A talking snake? A man who lived inside a fish? A son of Roman rapist presented as the only son of God? Resurrection? Divine Revelations? Day of Judgment? Hell? Jihad? Adolf Hitler used to say that hoi polloi tend to believe big lies, not small lies!
These are favorite religious images presenting God as grudge collector, deserving ridicule. But those who believe in the end-of-days may be making a self-fulfilling prophecy of apocalyptic images of stampeding armies and mushroom clouds in the ruins of Megiddo, the Israeli site from which the Book of Revelation says Armageddon will originate.
Dodecatheos of ancient Greece was much better than the Tritheos of modern Greece. Tritheos destroyed Dodecatheos and the Graecoroman Civilization. If Tritheos was not invented by Paul, we would have been on the Moon one millennium before! Jesus is a legend, born in Nazaret in April of 6 BC, whereas Christ is a myth, born in Bethlehem in December! Jesus never said he was the only son of God, but we are all children of God. Jesus was the founder of Nazarene Judaism, not Christianity. Resurrection is the biggest lie of Christianity. Misogynist Paul, Peter's boyfriend, is the founder of Christianity! Thomas Jefferson wrote that Paul was the first corrupter of the doctrines of Jesus.
The most reliable Bible is The Jefferson Bible, or The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazaret as it is formally titled. It was Thomas Jefferson's effort to extract the doctrine of Jesus by removing sections of the New Testament containing lies as well as perceived misinterpretations added by the Four Evangelists. Jefferson cut and arranged selected verses from the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in chronological order, mingling excerpts from one text to those of another in order to create a single narrative.
The Jefferson Bible begins with an account of Jesus's birth without references to angels, genealogy, or prophecy. Miracles, references to the Trinity and the divinity of Jesus, and Jesus' resurrection are also absent from the Jefferson Bible. The work ends with the words: Now, in the place where he was crucified, there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid. There they laid Jesus. And rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
All bibles are fiction. Atlas Shrugged, a novel by Ayn Rand, first published in 1957 in the United States, is considered the modern Bible. This was Rand's fourth, longest, and last novel, her magnum opus. The book explores a dystopia where leading innovators and producers(Atlas) go on strike srugging, refusing to be exploited by society.
The Resurrection myth is based on the dying-and-rising god, a generic category for deities found within agrarian societies who are the focus of myths and rituals which represent the annual death and rebirth of the deity. All myths are echoes of rituals, and all rituals have as their primordial purpose the manipulation of natural phenomena by means of sympathetic magic. Carl Jung argued that archetypal processes such as death and resurrection were part of the trans-personal symbolism of the collective unconscious.
Religions, scams, and hoaxes succeed because they exploit powerful psychological processes. These processes are the very ones that have enabled humans to survive and create art and technology, but also trasform Homo sapiens into Homo suckers.
The Holy Light is a hoax that occurs every year at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem on Holy Saturday, the day preceding Orthodox Easter. Criticism dates at least to the days of Islamic rule of Jerusalem, but the hoax is encouraged by Israel, because of the significant revenue it brings to Jerusalem. The culrpit, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem, recites a specific prayer, puts off his robes and enters alone into the sepulcher to perform the chemical hoax. The congregants subsequently chant Kyrie eleison(Lord, have mercy) until the 33 sensitive candles tied together ignite chemically inside the alleged tomb chamber of Jesus.
Joe Nickell traveled to Toronto to investigate a weeping icon in a Greek Orthodox church. In front of a dozen television, newspaper, and radio reporters, Nickell collected samples of the tears for Toronto police lab analysis. The police termed the icon a fraud and concluded that the substance of the tears was olive oil. Last fall, over 20,000 people visited the church to witness the pseudomiracle, donating an estimated two million dollars. The priest of the church has been accused of perpetrating the hoax and stealing the money from the church's coffers.
The Shroud of Turin had first appeared in about 1355 at a small church in Lirey, France. According to a bishop's report written in 1389 to the Avignon pope, Clement VII, an artist ad¬mitted he had cunningly painted the image of the crucified Christ on the cloth. Stylistic and iconographic elements corroborate a medieval artistic origin. So do modern carbon-14 tests, which yielded a date range of circa 1260—1390, consistent with the time of the reported forger's confession. Famed microanalyst Walter C. McCrone had previously determined that the image had been rendered by an artist using red ocher and vermilion tempera paint.
Charlatan Saint Padre Pio's stigmata started with carbolic-acid misuse! Pio and some of the other friars at San Giovanni Rotondo were administering injections to boys who were ill with influenza. Alcohol not being available, an exhausted doctor left carbolic acid to be used for sterilizing needles and injection sites, while neglecteing to tell the friars it had to be diluted. As a result, Pio and another friar were left with angry red spots on their hands. Not only Padre Pio continued inducing his stigmata with acid, he also misused funds and had sex with female parishioners in the confessional. The founder of the Catholic university hospital in Rome branded Pio an ignorant and self-mutilating psychopath who exploited people's credulity.
Three brats at Fatima of Portugal hoodwinked about conversations with Pseudovirgin Mary! The Fatima pseudomiracle has been described in many very different ways. Some claimed that the sun spun pinwheel-like with colored streamers, while others maintained that it danced.
Most likely, there was a combination of factors at Fatima, including optical effects and meteorological phenomena, such as the sun being seen through thin clouds, causing it to appear as a silver disc. από τη μέρα που ξεκινήσαμε το http://www.dentforum.gr/ έχουμε 6319 επισκέψεις (1η μέρα 28-12-10) και 27718 προβολές σελιδών.
- Είναι η τελευταία μέρα που μπορείτε να γραφτείτε στη λίστα για την 1η προσπάθεια μείωσης του κόστους των οδοντιατρικών υλικών! Ήμαστε μέχρι αυτή την ώρα 62 άτομα και έχει καθοριστεί σαν ελάχιστο ποσό παραγγελίας τα 500 ευρώ.
Η διαδικασία θα έχει ως εξής:
(η φάση) στέλνουμε ένα mail με το πόσοι ήμαστε, από ποιες περιοχές και το ελάχιστο ποσό παραγγελίας κατ΄άτομο. Θα ζητήσουμε να μας κάνουν τις προσφορές τους με προθεσμία υποβολής μια βδομάδα. (Η αρχική ιδέα και σκέψη ήταν να μας δώσουν μία προσφορά πχ 10% σε όλα τα προϊόντα.Όμως μετά από συζήτηση με κάποιους προμηθευτές καταλάβαμε ότι η έκπτωση δεν είναι εφικτή με τον τρόπο αυτό, οπότε θα ζητήσουμε διάφορα ποσοστά έκπτωσης ανά κατηγορίες ή μάρκες.πχ 10% ultradent,15% αναλώσιμα,5% 3Μ,10% Λευκαντικά της εταιρίας κλπ κλπ)
2η φάση) Ανεβάζουμε τις προσφορές που μας έγιναν στο ειδικό μέρος του forum και συζητάμε για το ποια είναι η καλύτερη προσφορά για 3 μέρες στις 16, 17 και 18 Μαΐου (εάν δεν υπάρξει συζήτηση στο forum θα διαλέξουμε εμείς ποια θεωρούμε την καλύτερη).
3η φάση) Έπειτα στέλνουμε πάλι mail σε όλες τις εταιρίες (και αυτές που δε μας απάντησαν πρώτα) με την καλύτερη προσφορά που διαλέξαμε και περιμένουμε 3 μέρες 19-21 Μαΐου για αντιπροσφορές.
Μόλις τις λάβουμε τις συζητάμε και πάλι και διαλέγουμε την καλύτερη.
Μόνο στην προμηθευτική που θα κάνει την καλύτερη προσφορά θα στείλουμε και τη λίστα των οδοντιάτρων!
H εταιρίες που θα στείλουμε είναι: εγγλεζοπουλος νικολαος,τσαπραζης και σια,Dental House,Βιτσαροπουλος,Sadent,Συνεταιρισμός Οδ Θεσσαλονίκης,Παντελίδης,Μαυραειδόπουλος,Αποστολίδης,D'active,ΣΥΝΟΑ,πανελληνιος συνεταιρισμος,dental progress,FutureDENT, Θεοδοσόπουλος,Moulinos Dental Care, DENTALCOM Παπαζογλου. Σκέφτεστε και κάποια άλλη; Δε θα στείλουμε σε εταιρίες που εμπορεύονται εξατομικευμένα προϊόντα (όπως μόνο εμφυτεύματα).
-Στο forum μας είναι εγγεγραμένοι 238 άτομα και έχουμε 33 ανοιχτά θέματα και 105 απαντήσεις. Περιμένουμε να γραφτείτε περισσότεροι! Υπάρχουν θέματα που ζητούν και τη δική σας βοήθεια/απάντηση!
-Αντιδεολογικές Συμπεριφορές. Από τις 12-2-11 ανεβάζουμε και εμείς εικόνες από προσφορές συναδέλφων στο διαδύκτιο ελπίζοντας ότι κάποια στιγμή οι σύλλογοι θα κάνουν το αυτονόητο! Μέχρι τώρα βρήκαμε 23, με κάποιους συναδέλφους να έχουν κάνει επάγγελμα τις προσφορές! Σχετικά με το θέμα έχουμε αναρτήση και μία ψηφοφορία (Είστε υπέρ ή κατά των οδοντιατρικών προσφορών στο ίντερνετ;)
-Κατάλογος sites blogs. Έχει εμπλουτιστεί με 34 sites οδοντιάτρων, 1 site οδοντοτεχνιτών, 5 sites οδοντιατρικών νέων, 17 sites συλλόγων και τα 2 sites των ελληνικών πανεπιστημίων. Εάν θέλετε να μπείτε στον κατάλογο (είναι εντελώς δωρεάν) παρακαλώ στείλτε μας mail.
-Παρουσίαση περιστατικών. Όποιος επιθυμεί να παρουσιάσει κάποιο περιστατικό μπορεί να μας στείλει mail με φωτογραφίες, τα βήματα κλπ.
-Ανεβάζουμε άρθρα γύρω από την οδοντιατρική, την ιατρική, τη διατροφή, το παιδί και την κύηση περιμένουμε και τα δικά σας άρθρα γύρω από κάποιο υλικό ή τεχνική.
-Όποια εταιρία θέλει να παρουσιάσει κάποιο καινούριο προϊόν μπορεί να μας στείλει το άρθρο και φωτογραφίες. (δωρεάν)
- Σε λίγες μέρες μόνο οι οδοντίατροι θα έχουν πρόσβαση σε όλο το forum, οι ασθενείς και οι απλοί επισκέπτες θα έχουν μειωμένη πρόσβαση ώστε οι συζητήσεις μας να μένουν σε οδοντιατρικούς κύκλους.
